Even the world knows what a Christian should look like; even a child has a pretty good idea of how a Christian should act. The book is a manual for young Christians. But it goes beyond proffering counsel to young Christians to clarifying essential issues of the Christian faith. These issues include the need for a sound relationship with Jesus Christ, discipleship, Holy Spirit baptism, and a proper understanding and participation in the Holy Communion. TRUTHS YOU WON’T HEAR IN SUNDAY SERVICE is a compendium of the realities of the Christian faith, especially for a new believer. The book adequately deals with various issues contending with the gracious walk of believers’ in a riotous world where the depth and relevance of the Christian tradition are subjected to questioning.
Having received salvation, the Bible says we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling, Phil 2:12. How do you do that when you are unsure of the expectations as a child of God. Bola Adewara has put together answers to questions agitating the minds of young believers who are confused about “The Church” or have the desire for exploits in the body of Christ, making the book a companion for ‘quick checks’. From start to finish, my spirit connects with the insights and revelations in the book.

This is an excellent “small” book full of wisdom and insight for all levels of Christians – the mature, young and growing and above all, those who believe they can learn new things every day about our Almighty God.
Beloved, this book covers almost everything you hear about in today’s Church and discussions with other faith or religions while we are reminded that Christianity is not a religion but a way of life based on ‘Jesus Christ’ example.
There is a lot of good meat in the pages of this exciting book. Although the book is addressed largely to the young Christian, there is much to learn for any person who recognizes the need to continuously improve his knowledge.
I appreciate the healthy emphasis on the primacy of the word of God in every aspect of the Christian life – in faith, teaching advocacy soul winning, mentoring and our eternal goals. Indeed, we must remember that when a man is tired of learning, he is tired of life.
We need to heed the word of God in 2Peter1:20, “knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of private interpretation”. We are reminded in Psalm 119:105 that  “Thy word is a  lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. We must in all things be guided by the Holy Spirit.
